Happy day, friends!! 😊

I just got back from spending time with my family. One of my favorite yearly traditions isn’t for one of the big holidays. Every year I look forward to celebrating my parents’ anniversary. My mom makes all the best food and we have a feast. I always hope to get out there to help her before she gets everything made, but she makes sure to get everything done before I can get there.

I have the best parents. I have always admired their relationship so much. They have the normal little annoyances here and there with each other, but they have always given me such a beautiful example of a loving marriage. They make such a great team.

So now that I’m back home, I need to get some chores and work around the house done. I’m going to start in the kitchen. I was craving some of my mom’s potato soup so I made bacon and potato soup last night. I got most of the kitchen back in order, but I still have a little bit to do. Laundry needs to get started. The bedding, towels and work clothes all need to be washed. I’m not sure when I’m going to get to the store, but I need to put together a grocery list. I can’t let myself get too distracted. I have to keep myself moving at a good pace because I’m meeting up with my bestie for dinner and drinks. Not that I should anyway, but, I also can’t push things off until tomorrow because tomorrow is an edit day and I need to make some goodies for a birthday. Thank goodness for a reason to make some butterfinger bars. I’ll have to let you in on the recipe next time. 😊
