Ok..
So, I had plans to get grinding on some projects and, since the weather has been so beautiful, I’ve been planning on getting out and enjoying it. Somehow, though, life never goes according to the beautiful, little plan I have crafted up in my mind. I have never been as sick in my entire life as I have been the last three months. It will seem like I get about 95% of the way to being completely better and something else will hit. Regardless, I cannot complain. I have said for years that I need to be able to catch up on the sleep that I wasn’t getting. I have definitely gotten caught up on that sleep now.
I am just so incredibly blessed in having the best loved ones and am so, so grateful for them. From my work team to my bestie, they all have helped me out so much in the last few months while I’ve been struggling through everything and haven’t been able to be making it in to work to get everything done like I need to. I like to pride myself on being a very independent person who doesn’t need help, but one of the biggest lessons that I’ve learned over the last few years is that it doesn’t make you weak to accept help that is lovingly being offered. When you have people who love and care for you wanting to help you carry the weight, let them. Save the extra you then have from that for all the other things you want to tackle in life. Teamwork doesn’t always make dreamwork, but when you have the right team it does.
All in all, even despite being taken out by what seems to be every sickness going around this year, I am at least getting to enjoy some things in between each round of stuff I’m getting hit with. I did have the pleasure of going to the theater with my bestie to see “Argylle.” For anyone who is wondering, I am definitely a cat person and the cat is definitely one of my favorite parts of the movie. Also, I am quite pleased with how far movie theaters have come since I was a child going to the movies. After that, we had a great time taking advantage of the spring-like weather we’ve been having by going to our favorite Boba place. It had been quite a while since I have been there and I had been sorely missing my strawberry milk tea. My friend also convinced me recently to start playing Palia so I may have been spending way too much time lately building up my character’s life since I can’t go do much in my actual life.
However, I will be too busy this weekend for my virtual life because, since I am finally healthy, I am traveling out to see my family and meet my brand new little nephew! I am so excited! One of my very favorite things in this world is being an aunt. Not much warms my heart the same. So I have been counting down the minutes all week until it’s time to head out there and the next few days are going to be solely for some family time that I am beyond ready for.
We’ll speak soon. Have a fabulous weekend! Happy Lunar New Year!!
